  • Can the robot travel to locations?

    Our lightweight system is the perfect solution for domestic and international travel. The SLIM robot itself weighs 33.5kg, with our base at roughly 40kg . SLIM can be mounted on any standard Mitchell Mount so the possibilities are endless for this setup. It has already been mounted on top of a car!

  • How do you set up the robot?

    First, the entire system is easily transported in a few hard cases that can all fit in the back of a standard SUV. Setup time is roughly 30 minutes from unloading. Next, decide on where to mount the robot; on the custom stand, upside down on truss or on a dolly system, the possibilities are endless. And lastly, mount your payload (under 12.5kg) then let SLIM do exactly what you want it to.

  • How fast is the robot?

    While SLIM may be quicker and more accurate than a human operator situations, it should be noted, SLIM currently does not have a practical way of determining ’maximum’ speed other than testing. The current estimated high speed is 1.9 meters per second.

  • Do you need a flat surface for the robot?

    You can now get creative with where you want to mount SLIM! The lightweight form factor allows it to be mounted almost anywhere. We have examples for car and truss rigging on the home page.

  • What cameras can be mounted on robot?

    This is the perfect robot arm for handling almost any camera. It can support a total payload of 12.5kg and includes all major brands like ARRI, RED, PHANTOM or SONY. If you're looking at creative ways of mounting lights and rigs then our SLIM robot will work for that too.

  • Is the robot safe?

    Health and safety is the utmost priority when working with Moco Robo. Safety briefs are conducted to ensure a safe operation on set, and understanding that we're effectively operating an industrial machine. We make sure no one acts against our instructions for a safe operation. There is built-in cutoff and pressure sensitive motion sensors so if there is unsafe contact with the robot during operation it will shut down to avoid damage or injury.
